I have multiple years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer and Underwriter. I’ve also worked for multiple lenders in the past. Fun Fact. I’m also a Veteran of the US Marine Corps. 4 years - 2009-2013, Honorably discharged. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration from Wayne State University.

So, Why did I decide to go into business on my own?

The answer is simple. I was tired of working for the retail lending companies and having to compete with Independent Mortgage Brokers on interest rates and fees. I was good at my job, but I was also tired of working for a boss (which I’m sure most of us can relate to) and having to put the needs of the companies I was at over the needs of my clients at times. As an Independent Mortgage Broker, I’m free to work with the actual needs of my clients.

As an Independent Mortgage Broker, I also have flexibility in how we do business together. We can meet in-person in most of Michigan. I will drive to you. We can also do business over the Phone. We can use Video calling via Facetime, Google Duo, or Zoom. We can also use Secure Text, or email.

Every Mortgage Loan Officer, Company, and Broker are required by Federal and State Laws to be licensed to do the work of a loan officer unless they work directly for an actual depository bank, in which case they are still registered in NMLS. I repeat, every Mortgage Loan officer that you will talk to and their company will have an NMLS ID number and NMLS is a Federal Government entity.
